In 2020, System Power Solutions LLP developed a project to strengthen the external power supply system of the city of Turkestan. A key part of this project was the construction of the 220 kV Ortalyq substation. This large-scale project aims to significantly improve the region’s energy infrastructure and ensure a reliable power supply for its residents and businesses.

The Ortalyq substation will provide additional power supply to more than 300,000 residents of Turkestan and the Sauran district. It will also become a key source of energy for social facilities and small businesses, which will contribute to the region’s economic growth.

During the implementation of the project, various equipment and systems were developed and installed, such as:
- Open installation of 220 kV power transformers, 110 kV IRM.
- Open installation of 35 kV and lower power transformers (SN, LRT).
- Open installation of 6-10 kV current-limiting reactors.
- 6-10 kV switchgear.
- Diesel generator.
- Installation of high-frequency line treatment equipment with more than two barriers.
- General substation control point.
- Septic tank, oil collector, gravity sewer networks and facilities.
- Water tanks, water supply networks, water intake facilities with a first lift pumping station.
- Fire alarm systems and fire extinguishing pumping station.
- Video surveillance systems, access control systems, security and voice alarm systems.
- Checkpoint (MAF) and internal roads, garage.
In addition to the main power equipment, System Power Solutions specialists also designed and implemented the necessary accompanying infrastructure.

The launch of the Ortalyq substation is of strategic importance for the development of the local electricity distribution network and increasing the capacity of the regional network. The design and construction of this facility demonstrates System Power Solutions’ high level of expertise and experience in implementing large-scale energy projects in Kazakhstan.
